Wiradyuri creative, educator, and community collaborator
Founder – Birdyulang Animations.
I am a proud Wiradyuri man living and working on my homelands in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales. My practice sits at the intersection of cultural storytelling, animation, language revival, and research.
I am currently undertaking a PhD in 2025 at Charles Sturt University, where I am exploring ways animation and community-driven storytelling can strengthen language, identity, and wellbeing. My co-supervisors are Christopher Orchard and Wendy Boyles.
My creative business, Birdyulang Animations, produces 3D animation, short films, podcasts, and visual storytelling works that centre First Nations voices – especially those of young people and Elders. I am passionate about truth-telling, healing intergenerational trauma, and ensuring Wiradyuri language and knowledge continues to be shared with pride.
I have led or collaborated on projects with:
My work has been exhibited across NSW, shared in schools and museums, and I also presented at TEDx Wagga Wagga. I have also run creative workshops that combine language, art, and technology to empower the next generation.
I am also a co-founder and director of Miil Miil Productions based in Leeton, NSW.
Always guided by Elders, grounded in community, and shaped by Country – this is what Birdyulang is all about.
